Library Street Collective Presents

IN BETWEEN, a Solo Exhibition by How & Nosm

April 23 — June 12, 2016

Brooklyn-based twins Raoul and Davide Perre, also known as How & Nosm, have created some of their most vibrant work to date for the exhibition, incorporating a spectrum of pinks and oranges into their trademark black, red and white palette. The painted works present complex nodes composed of figures, symbols and objects while surrealist backgrounds expand behind. Calling to mind influences from Dali and Picasso to Native American art and graffiti, the result is narcotic.

For the first time, the artists’ 12 works on canvas will be accompanied by over 30 impeccable process drawings. Categorized ‘Born’ and ‘Unborn’ depending upon realization as a finished painting or mural, the drawings show a new side to the Perre’s proficient line work as well as insight into their practice.
