On Saturday, August 11, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., the Michigan Science Center (MiSci) is making STEM more accessible to everyone while helping students in the Detroit Public Schools Community District get ready for school.

Through the generous support of Ford Motor Company Fund, the philanthropic arm of Ford Motor Company, MiSci will offer free general admission giving all guests the opportunity to experience science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) in a creative and dynamic learning environment.

Guests will also be able to purchase tickets to the new Planetarium showOur Place in a Galaxy Far, Far Away, and the 4D theater showExtreme Weather.

MiSci will also host the Detroit Public Schools Community District’s DPSCD Day from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., assisting parents with finding the best school for their children. DPSCD Day 2018 will feature:

  • DPSCD’s 106 schools
  • On-Site enrollment
  • Free immunizations
  • Health care screenings
  • Parent workshops
  • Scavenger hunt and prizes
  • And much more

Free parking and shuttle transportation will be offered at Ben Carson High School (571 Mack) and at the DPSCD Support Services Complex (1425 E. Warren).
