At the 2019 edition of Art Basel, Switzerland, Galerie St. Etienne is pleased to present a selection of works by celebrated German and Austrian artists commemorating the gallery’s 80th anniversary. The artists on view — including Egon Schiele, Käthe Kollwitz, Paula Modersohn-Becker, Gustav Klimt, Oskar Kokoschka, George Grosz, and Otto Dix — reflect the gallery’s renowned history of representing artists who have since become synonymous with Austrian and German Expressionism. The gallery will feature a solo room of drawings by Schiele, whom the gallery introduced to the United States in 1940.

Additionally, a selection of works will be on view by Galerie St. Etienne’s sole contemporary artist, Sue Coe, who was recently the subject of a retrospective at MoMA PS1.
