ARTIST STATEMENT

I pursue art because I feel it’s a doorway into another reality where emotions, thoughts, theories and perspective coexist in each of my creations. The most beneficial aspect about creating art is that everyone and anyone who observes my work has their own interpretation. I hope it can project beautiful thoughts, or recall memories and, most importantly, inspire any form of creativity, because that is the beauty of nature in which we all dwell.

I did some research on my heritage and on my mother’s side I found that we descend from the Huron Indians. I do not yet know the exact percent, or the full details, but it surprised me.

“It’s a doorway into another reality where emotions, thoughts, theories and perspective coexist”

My journey to St. Ignace Michigan was a time lapse of 7 years traveling across the country. In search of life’s questions, and ultimately gaining a little perspective of what truly is, or what is true for me, through beautiful and difficult times, I’ve acquired immense inspiration to begin my work as an artist. I started acting upon that inspiration once I arrived in the woods of St. Ignace.

After two years in the forest, I am now found in our local resale shop, where I both work and sell my paintings.
