Beauty is sometimes a beast and can be a battle against the elements. In preparation for the inevitable dry skin and frizzy hair days that lie ahead, here are a few products to add to your beauty arsenal this Fall.

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Oil Mist

While searching for a body oil that was free from mineral oil and petroleum bases, I came across this Aveeno product at my local drugstore. Gave it a shot. Happy to report, it gave my skin an instant gorgeous glow. After a week of use, I experienced noticeable changes, with my skin feeling firmer and pleasantly moisturized.

What’s in it?

This body oil spray contains 98% naturally-derived ingredients including, Oat Kernel Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Soybean Oil, Vitamin E, and claims to be safe for sensitive skin (which, works well for me). Fragrance is lightly sweet, with a mix of coconut and fruit, but not too overpowering.

Prices vary. Find at Amazon, CVS, Target and aveeno.com

Scruples High Definition Hair Spray

A quality hair spray with a firm hold. Once dry, it does not make my hair hard, crunchy or sticky but leaves a nice shine. And, while I’m not a fan of the strong hair spray scent – as I prefer not to have anything compete with my personal fragrance – once applied it does get the job done.

Personal Tip: I use this product on those dreadful days when I experience a halo of frizz simply by spraying onto the palm of my hand and quickly smoothing over areas of obnoxious frizziness.

Personal Tip II: When I go for a more structured style, I simply spray Scruples all over to hold my hair in place.
