WHAT: Michigan’s legendary ski resort, Mt. Brighton is excited to host its inaugural pink ski day on Saturday, February 22. In partnership with Detroit-headquartered Barabara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, Pink Mt. Brighton will be a fun-filled, community initiative to support cancer research through skiing and snowboarding.
“We’re thrilled to bring the community together in support of cancer research with Karmanos Cancer Institute,” says Mt. Brighton General Manager Beth Lohman. “As a cancer survivor myself, I’m proud that Mt. Brighton can be part of the fight to cure cancer with such a fun-filled and inspiring event right here in Michigan.”
The highly-anticipated event will transform Mt. Brighton into a pink winter destination featuring pink décor, a “Rally for Hope” Ski Parade, hundreds of skiers and snowboarders dressed in pink, a pink party and a pink costume contest for all to rally together and enjoy.
Participants are invited to register for Pink Mt. Brighton individually or in teams to fundraise in support of family and friends and honor those who have fought cancer. Karmanos Cancer Institute will receive 100% of registration and donation proceeds. Additionally, Mt. Brighton will recognize the top individual and team fundraisers, along with those who reach designated fundraising levels, with specialty prizes including lift tickets, exclusive Pink Mt. Brighton hats, GoPros, helmets & goggles from Oakley, and more during the event.
