The Detroit Artists Market (DAM) is pleased to present “Wordage”. This year’s summer exhibition at the Detroit Artists Market was curated by Jack O. Summers, artist and educator. Contemporary art by 25 Michigan artists. “Wordage” Exhibition runs through July 24, 2010.
“This show features works which combine text and images in very compelling and fresh ways”, notes curator Jack O. Summers.“Together they allow the viewer to use both sides of the brain to take in these pieces, which brings more of the viewer and their own interpretations to the art. Utilizing images and text together provide a more subtle and reflective experience as opposed to the daily bombardment of words and images we all receive through our televisions and computers.”
