As summer months begin to bloom and vacation-goers head south for the cool sea and warm sands, there is one property in particular that encapsulates a paradise of its own. Boho Club, located in the heart of Marbella, Spain, is a five-star bohemian, bungalow-style resort with cutting-edge design, and a hand-held luxury experience for those who step foot in the impressive oasis.

From the moment you walk through the doors, you are greeted by fun, colorful, plant-designed wallpaper, a staff matching their pink computers with the pastel furniture, eclectic metallic wall designs accented with hard-to-find pieces of furniture, whimsical accessories at every corner, and an expansive layout that gives the property a very private feel. You can even rent your own pink mini car to drive around and explore Marbella for the day.

The club-style resort boasts residential-style accommodations that blend the accouterments of home with the service of a luxury boutique. The rooms at Boho Club are designed with modern elegance in mind, and each detail has been thoughtfully planned to make visitors feel like they have landed in their very own private villa. I had a view of the pool with a hip couch, comfortable bedding and decor items that I hadn’t seen anywhere else, including a vase of an upside-down female face and crystal Murano flower jugs to spice up the decor of the room.

As of last week, the 20 rooms are now accompanied by 20 additional Boho Bungalows, for a family-sized experience, designed for entertaining guests, with bright and airy open-plan living spaces, paired with private terraces. The Boho Suite is perfect for longer stays, featuring its own fully equipped kitchen and lounge area. The bungalows and suite used to house Swedish workers in the past, and were then revamped and refurbished to expand the property. The entire experience looks like it’s straight out of a ‘50’s movie. In fact, they even filmed a documentary on its grounds.

The Boho Club also houses an art gallery and poolside restaurant, Bernies. You can find statues of a golden pitbull and a silver heart. Within the Boho Club gardens are the Love Me and Adam sculptures designed by international artist Richard Hudson, as couples stroll outside their rooms and snap Insta-worthy photos.

The restaurant is led by Michelin star chef Diego del Río and offers haute cuisine in a bohemian-style environment. I was presented with a beautifully and creatively-designed jamon iberico starter with a savory steak and a sweet finish of chocolate mousse bathed in a pool of passion fruit. Guests can also enjoy breakfast on the terrace while admiring views of the club gardens, which feature alfresco enchantment, luxurious sunbeds and cabanas. Or, you can chill by the pool and take a swim in its translucently turquoise waters, while ordering lunch and a cocktail from your very own private cabana.

Overall, the Boho Club brings a new dimension to Marbella. It’s a place where laidback luxury meets art and haute cuisine. Every detail within the club has been carefully designed to create a special experience for guests, making it one of the top resorts to visit in the area.
